Trenton Walks! Assunpink Creek

Trenton’s Assunpink Creek
Friday, March 13, our walk starts at 4:30 p.m. at Artworks, at 19 Everett Alley, Off South Stockton Street. This walk will offer an environmental focus on the Assunpink Creek as it winds through East Trenton before joining the Delaware River. The route will follow the Assunpink through Mill Hill Park to Clay Street Park and back.
Watershed Institute scientists will talk about the health of the waterway and how they are working with members of 11 communities, including Lawrence and West Windsor, to develop and implement a plan to improve water quality and reduce flooding. This 1.2 mile-walk will also serve as a chance for working group partners, students, and community members to connect around shared goals for cleaner, more resilient waterways. The walk is expected to end around 6:30 p.m.
