Marc Leckington has organized a food drive in our neighborhood. Marc will collect the food and deliver it to Homefront. He is currently planning to deliver whatever he has collected by the end of the day next Friday, November 7. Depending on the response and the continuing need, he may to continue collecting after that date.
Here are the items Homefront has listed as in the greatest need:
Baby formula, especially Enfamil Neuropro and Enfamil Neuropro Gentlease in powder form
Non-perishable foods, such as: Non-perishable canned veggies, canned proteins, canned fruits, canned or dry beans, grains, low-sugar cereal, pasta
Unopened packaged spices – salt, pepper, oregano, chili powder, red chili flakes, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, thyme
Dry and canned beans (15 oz. cans, 1 lb. bags) – black, kidney, great northern white Pasta (1 lb.)
As you no doubt are aware, SNAP benefits may be suspended starting this Nov. 1. Mayor Gusciora reported today that over 23,000 Trentonians rely on SNAP for food security. Local food banks are likely to face a severe increase in demand.
Marc’s address is 105 Cadwalader Drive— You can leave your donations on his front porch. If you would like Marc to pick up your items, you can call him at: 609-203-0934
