Freedom has announced their 2025 Winter Skate Program Schedule.
Helmets and skateboards are available to borrow if you do not have your own.
Only skateboards, roller skates, and rollerblades are permitted in the park. Bikes and scooters are not allowed.
Everyone who enters the skate park must have a signed waiver on file. Waivers can be filled out here: https://app.cleverwaiver.com/render/templateByRefId/65206384f14b5a495d95d7fd
Skaters under 18 years old must have a waiver signed by a legal guardian. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult the entire time they are at the park.
The Trenton Winter Skate Program is a weekly event series that takes place on Saturdays during the winter. It includes open skate sessions, board giveaways for at-risk youth, live music performances, women and queer skate meet-ups, and other positive community events.
Since the first Trenton Winter Skate Program launched in 2018, hundreds of skaters have visited Freedom, with an average of roughly 100 people at every event.
Freedom is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing an indoor skate park and creative space in New Jersey. Skateboarding helps people of all ages learn to think creatively, set goals and work hard to achieve them, and become more open-minded while improving their physical and emotional health.
Freedom allows more people to experience the benefits of skateboarding, enhances Trenton’s cultural landscape, and improves outcomes for at-risk youth by providing a high-quality, public, indoor skate park where skaters of all skill levels and backgrounds can come together to practice their skills, form friendships, and learn from one another.
