Strategies to lift Trenton and its people

Trenton, NJ – Noted community leader and author Brother Gene Bouie will discuss his new book “A City Worth Fighting For – Strategies to lift Trenton and its people” at the next Kiwanis Club of Trenton program on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. All are welcome to attend the program, which begins at 12:15 p.m. in Leonardo’s II Restaurant, 2021 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Please RSVP to mccormicknj@aol.com by February 3, 2026. Brother Gene Bouie is a seasoned executive, strategist, and community leader with more than 50 years of experience across education, business, nonprofit leadership, and civic governance. He will share his blueprint — strategic, moral, and deeply human — for restoring dignity, reducing poverty, and transforming government in one of America’s most misunderstood cities. Brother Gene is the Founder and President of Tahsin Consulting Group, LLC, a management consulting firm dedicated to strategic planning, operational excellence, leadership development, and quality improvement. He was a nearly decade-long Trenton School Board member and former Board President and has also served as Executive Director of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and as Director of Operations at the Henry J. Austin Health Center.
Founded in 1918, the Kiwanis Club’s programs have supported children’s services, community events and, since 1955, the Kiwanis Camp Fund, which has raised over $2 million for summer camp experiences for Trenton children.  In addition to the ongoing Camp Fund, current Kiwanis initiatives include “Vision Trenton,” a collaborative community effort to stimulate economic redevelopment by promoting Trenton’s extensive historic assets.
