April 4 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Bunny Comes to Trenton –  105th “Great Egg Hunt” Returns
Parade begins at 9 AM
Easter Egg Hunt begins at 11:30 AM

Continuing over a century of Trenton tradition, the Easter Bunny will ride through Trenton on a fire truck beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026. The procession will pass through each of the City’s wards before ending in Cadwalader Park at 11 a.m.  City residents are invited to greet the Bunny as he drives by. The Bunny will then kick off the 105th annual “Great Egg Hunt” in Cadwalader Park at 11:30 a.m., featuring over 6,000 eggs hidden throughout the park.  One “golden egg” in each of three age group categories will earn the finder a new bicycle. The hunt is open free of charge to all Trenton children up to 12 years of age accompanied by an adult. Face painting, a petting zoo, games and music  will also be part of the festivities. All children at the Park will receive a treat from the “Bunny Patrol” (courtesy of Trenton Kiwanis) free of charge.

The Bunny’s travel route through the City will begin at Fire Headquarters on Perry Street at 9:00 a.m. and proceed along MLK Jr. Blvd., Clinton Ave., Hamilton Ave., Broad St., Pennington Ave., Stuyvesant Ave., and Hillvista Blvd., among others, before reaching Cadwalader Park at approximately 11 a.m.

The Trenton Department of Recreation Natural Resources & Culture and the Trenton Fire Department join with the Kiwanis Club of Trenton to sponsor The Great Egg Hunt every year for Trenton’s children.
