Do you have any unused or expired prescription medicine lying around? If so, Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler announces the chance for residents to dispose of these drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 25th.
Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is a nationwide initiative aimed at safely disposing of unneeded and outdated prescription medications from homes, thereby reducing risks. The goal is to help residents rid their medicine cabinets of outdated and easily abused opioid painkillers and other unneeded prescription medications. Residents can drive up and drop off their prescription pills at the parking lot across from the Mercer County Administration Building (640 South Broad St.) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Call 609.209.2880 for more information.
